The introductory time shuttleing, my soup spilled everywhere (even though we automotiveried it upright). The lock kept the meat and veggies in, but I had an enormous mess to wash up after I started working, and I misplaced a good inch of liquid consequently. I will possible be more automobileeful subsequent time and pack it in the automotive on the floor together with towels, but the entire cause I bought a locking-lid crock pot used to be so I wouldn't have to go to every that hassle.

It's gorgeous. It cook dinners neatly too. I made the best batch of French Onion Soup I actually have always made in my life in it. The downside? The rubber rim around the glass top absorbed the smell of the onions & broth. I can't fetch the scent out. I've soaked, I've scrubbed and now I shall be sending it back.
